When the heat of summer hits, nothing refreshes quite like a glass of something icy and delicious. So, when I was invited to a pool party with some friends during our recent heat wave, I decided to bring some frosé. With just a few ingredients thrown in a blender, the simple glass of rosé has been elevated to a slushy, boozy treat. So easy and so tasty.
1 bottle of dry rosé wine (darker in color is best)
1 cup frozen strawberries
1/4 cup lemon or lime juice
sugar to taste
(Add more ice if you want it slushier)
Pour the rosé into a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 6 hours (also works straight from the bottle).
In a blender, combine the frozen rosé, strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth.
Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
Pour into glasses and garnish with a strawberry or lemon slice.
