Throwback Thursday

· revisiting dry shampoos ·

REPOSTED: I decided to revisit this post from last September since it seemed so relevant to our current situation. Staying at home with no where to go and no one to see means that showering is optional! At least it is in my house. Access to my dry shampoo is now more imperative than ever. I updated with the addition of the new Kérastase option (currently in my Sephora cart). If you need a recommendation for a brand to try, read on.

So I think we all know what dry shampoo is and what it is used for. Some use it for the obvious reason– to eliminate the oily look of day-old hair. Some use it to add texture to a style. Some use as a way to extend a blowout. And some use it to disguise a sweaty head post-workout. Whatever your personal reason, you want the product to work. But which one to choose? I currently use 2 different ones but know a lot of my friends swear by their favorite brands. I like having one that is heavy-duty for after a barre class (Klorane) and one that is tinted brown for more daily use (Batiste). A trusted vlogger swears by Nexxus, and two girlfriends defended their top choices, Drybar Detox and Oribe. Below are the brands that were recommended by beauty experts, friends, family or ME! Which one do you like? Willing to try something new? A pro tip: spray your hair at night to keep the look fresh!
