Growing up I was never really into makeup. My high school routine consisted of Maybelline mascara and Clinique’s Black Honey lip gloss (still love it). For some reason, I didn’t start experimenting with skincare and beauty products until I turned 40. A few months ago I posted a complete list of my everyday makeup routine (click here to read the post). During the day I like to keep things simple and natural. But during the holidays I like to get a little more creative and daring. Right now my sister is rolling her eyes because she knows that I am rarely “daring” when it comes to makeup– and she is right. But, I feel like I can be a bit more playful with a bold eye or maybe some foundation with coverage (shocking!). What I do know is that I am at an age where I enjoy trying products that make me feel good about myself. So, regardless of my sister’s doubt, I am going to get dressed up this December and put my best face forward (and maybe use my Black Honey lipgloss while I’m at it).
