I love when readers text me inspirations for posts. Obviously, it is always helpful to jump-start the creative juices, but it is also useful to hear what you all are interested in seeing on W&W. Recently, my friend LK sent me a text showing me a cute espadrille sandal that she had scored on sale. She said, “If you ever do a guilt-free shopping post these would be a contender!” Which of course got me thinking that a little bit of guilt-free shopping might be the mood lifter that we all need right now. I was going to focus the post around the very wedge sandals that inspired it, but when I went to the site, they were almost all sold out. Typical. Next best thing to a new pair of shoes? A new handbag! Or tote, or crossbody, or clutch. There are quite a few versions of the handbag here: leather, raffia, faux skins, and a bit of embroidery. These bags may all look a little different, but they all have one thing in common–they all LOOK more expensive than they really are (hence the guilt-free aspect). I hit the jackpot at Mango, but also found great options at Anthropologie, Madewell, H&M, plus some high-end designers too. Grab your coffee or wine and let out the drawstring on your sweatpants–time to shop for an accessory that doesn’t need altering after quarantine.
