After summer sunning, swimming, and sweating, I feel like my hair is crying out for a little TLC. The chlorine, salt water, sweat, suntan lotion, and sun exposure have left me in need of some serious repair. Below are some of the products that I am using to bring my hair back to life, adding hydration, nourishment, and shine. I am starting by switching to a wide-tooth comb, which is optimal for brushing wet, showered hair. Our strands are most fragile when wet, so gentle combing keeps limits hair breakage. In my cart are the three stand-outs below.

Leonor Greyl Organic Oil

This Huile Secret de Beaute can actually be used on both the hair and the body: “This rich oil, when applied to the hair, detangles, reduces frizz, and creates shiny, healthy hair. On the skin, the moisturizing oils protect against signs of aging, smooth the skin, and even extend the life of a tan.” I’m in!

Crown Affair Leave-In Conditioner

This latest release from Crown Affair was the inspiration for this post. I love a multi-tasker like this which can be used on wet or dry hair. It “acts as a treatment and styling product, providing moisture, nourishment, detangling, and resilience in addition to smoothing and reducing frizz.” It also protects against heat if you plan on blow drying. And you can reapply throughout the day. Nice.

Philip Kingsley Density Scalp Drops

Finally, a scalp treatment that isn’t an oily mess. This “lightweight serum provides an instant feeling of stimulation and improves hair condition to reduce scalp visibility with continued use.” Massage a few droppers into your scalp after showering and before styling, and feel the cooling effects.
