This Easy Eats dinner combines the best of two worlds: juicy burger and gooey bar appetizer. I get no arguments when I announce that we are having cheeseburgers for dinner, especially when it’s this stuffed version that tastes like jalapeño poppers. With kids coming and going, these are also easy to prepare ahead of time and cook when you need them. Not everyone likes the addition of the jalepeños, but my husband LOVES them. Enjoy the cheesy goodness!
Jalepeño Popper Cheeseburgers
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 tbsp cream cheese
- 4 brioche buns
- 1 jalepeño (or 15 pickled jalapeños slices)
Instructions
- Put ground beef in a bowl and mix in salt, pepper, and any preferred burger seasoning.
- In a small bowl, combine cream cheese and cheddar cheese. Make sure cream cheese is room temp (or zap in the microwave for 10 seconds).
- Divide ground beef into 4 even patties. Then divide each patty again into 2 sections, a top and bottom of a burger.
- Take 1 heaping tbsp of cheese mixture and place onto the bottom section of a burger. Cover with the top portion and seal the edges together by pinching the top and bottom patty together.
- Cook each patty over medium-high heat in a skillet for 4-6 minutes on each side.
- Put a few jalepeños on each burger
- Serve on a brioche bun.
