Summer Style Staples

The other day I received an email from Saks with the subject line “The 5 must-own pieces of summer.” It got me thinking about which 5 items I would suggest as summer staples. Saks and I agree on two, but I added three of my own favorites. The statement blouse and maxi dress were on both lists, and I decided to include jean shorts, the white jean, and fun hair accessories. (Honestly, I would have also chosen the cool flip-flop and white dress, but I already did feature posts on the two–click on highlighted links to read). My favorite in each category is pictured above but there are so many more to chose from in the images below. Any combination of these top 5 will create a fun summer outfit. Mix and match to your heart’s content.
