Spring is here and it’s time to cork up the heavy red wine and break out the sparkling spritzer drinks. The bubbles, the fruity flavors, and the simplicity make these yummy cocktails winners in my book. Spritzers, aka, Spritzes, are both low in alcohol content and calories too, so you can sip more than one. I found this simple 4 part formula for a spritzer to be foolproof: combine 2 oz. liqueur, 3 oz. sparkling wine, a splash of soda, and garnish. All four drinks start with this basic recipe and are slightly tweaked for unique flavor combos. So chill the Prosecco, fill some rocks glasses with ice, and start pouring these refreshing beverages. (Note: Prosecco, Champagne, and Cava are all considered sparkling wines.)
