In honor of Pride Day, a post featuring rainbow pieces!
I was digging through some old photos the other day, looking for a mother-daughter picture for my Mother’s Day post. I came across a photo of me and my best friend from grade school, Meg, and we were fully decked out in our gym shorts with rainbow stripes. We were 70s babies, but grew up in the preppy 80s, living in our polos and cardigans. Our wardrobes were not complete, however, without a healthy dose of color- pinks, greens, and rainbow pinstripes. We had our OP surf shorts with the stripes up the sides and our bubble gum and kelly green-hued ribbon barrettes. Now, of course, the rainbow pinstripes are considered retro and I am seeing them everywhere. My favorite find was this dress from New York & Co., which is on sale for $80! There is no better time to rediscover the rainbow look.
