“Skin Food is a universal savior of dry, rough skin on faces, elbows, hands, and feet. With extracts of gentle viola tricolor, calendula, and chamomile, in a rich, thick base of oils and beeswax, Skin Food hydrates skin to give you a healthy-looking glow. This best-selling product that originally launched in 1926 and has been a cult favorite ever since.”
It’s been a while since I published a Perfect Product and this one fits the bill three times over. The Weleda Skin Food lotions come in a variety of options, each perfect for different purposes, and equally as good. The OG is a thick creamy moisturizer that I have raved about before. This Original Ultra-Rich Cream is perfect for really dry skin on your hands or face (think wintertime cracked skin). The Light Nourishing Cream works well year-round for any moisturizing needs (I keep mine handy in my kitchen). This version works well under makeup too, so it’s an option for a daily moisturizer. And finally, the Nourishing Body Cream is perfect for head-to-toe dryness (like sunburned shoulders or ashy legs).
Weleda Skin Food products are also recyclable, inexpensive, and widely available (Whole Foods, Amazon, Walgreens, and Ulta). These moisturizers are free of parabens, preservatives, SLSs, synthetic fragrances, phthalates, and GMOs.
