Biologique Recherche is a French skincare line with over 30 years of experience in developing the most effective skin care products in the beauty industry. These cult classic favorites, the P50 Lotions, are exfoliating “facials in a bottle.” Their website invites you to “discover the beloved products of famed French women” and I am here to say: run don’t walk! Each one of these formulations targets a different skin type: P50 is the original formula and the most potent, P50V is for dry or dull skin, P50W is for sensitive skin and the P50 PIGM400 is for skin with hyperpigmentation or dark spots. I have been using my P50V since March of 2018 and notice a smoother complexion. Upon application, you can feel it tingling and you know it is working–bye-bye old skin cells. The Paul Labrecque Salon in New York City is the original Biologique Recherche skincare spa, and they are well versed in the entire product line. Locally, you can find both the BR product line and an experienced BR treatment team at BA Skin Lab in New Canaan. I encourage you to watch this video which explains the P50 lotions in more detail. The retail price is $68 for 5 ounces, and mine lasts for about 8 months. One drawback is the Lotion P50 smell– it’s medicinal and a little off-putting. If you power through you will see results!
