Korean Concoctions

Korean Beauty is a current obsession of mine, so I am always on the lookout for brands and products that work. To this end, I watch a lot of YouTube and follow many influencers who know their stuff. Some of these entrepreneurs, like Charlotte Cho from SOKO Glam and Alicia Yoon from Peach & Lily, went on to open online stores that carry all of the top quality brands from Korea. Last summer I featured Charlotte Cho’s The Little Book of Skin Care, a concise beginner’s guide to Korean Beauty secrets. This book gave me a general knowledge of Korean products and the ingredients that make them unique: snail mucin, maple tree sap, and bee venom, to name a few. Three favorite brands of mine are Neogen Dermatology, Amore Pacific and CosRX, with honorable mentions to Missha, Klairs, and Dr. Jart. Most K-Beauty products are more common now and can be purchased through Amazon, Sephora, Nordstrom, and specialty e-boutiques.  The first 4 products listed below were awarded SOKO Glam’s 2019 Best of K-Beauty!
