January is here, and with it comes the post Christmas blues, cold snowy days, and probably more time bored at home. In anticipation of said boredom, I stocked up on some non-screen options for everyone. When it comes to board games our family has a few favorites: Catan (when we have a few hours to kill), Spy Alley (for a quick break), and my personal choice, Rummikub (dying over this hand-painted personalized leather set from Ellis Hill). For Christmas, this game went to our teenage son, this one went to my husband, and this one was for me (purchased by me). I also got this one for our next game night with friends. During the holiday break, our family tackled two of these and it made for a fun couple of hours. Included below are games of strategy, fun games to play with younger kids, and a card game or two. Game on!
