December Decorating

· how we decorate for the holidays ·

It’s time! The holiday decorating has begun at my house and not a moment too soon. While the live tree is yet to be purchased and trimmed, the rest of our house will scream Christmas in a few short days. This weekend marks the occasion for me– time to deck the halls. This task involves a little heavy lifting, a little creative thinking, and a lot of pinot noir. The bins of decorations are assembled in the dining room (after lugging up from the basement), and the careful placement of angels, Santas, and candles begins. And let’s not forget the wreaths- on every door, most mirrors, and the window above the kitchen sink. I tend to collect pine trees, deer figures, and vintage Santas, so it’s no surprise that I picked a few more to feature in this post! Take a look through the festive items below and get inspired to start your December decorating a little earlier too.
