I love the look of a coin charm necklace. After I saw the real deal Bulgari Ancient Roman beauty on my chic friend Nicole, I have been searching for a more attainable version for myself. For months I have been shopping the internet, and in one week I found TWO that were perfect for me. The first one was on my neighbor Laura-it was the right size, thickness and had an engraved warrior on horseback (we agree it looks more like a unicorn and who doesn’t need a unicorn)! The gold Julie Vos coin charm was stunning and I considered my search complete. However, the following week I attended a cancer fundraising lunch that featured shops and vendors. Of course, I was drawn to the shiny table filled with vintage jewelry. Ward Vintage had a unique selection of bracelets, necklaces, and rings, but my eye went right to a pair of coin earrings. These gold beauties were about the size of a quarter and had a majestic lion motif. I didn’t even hesitate: these clip-on earrings would make two gold charm necklaces, one for me and one for my sister (birthday gift, check). The two of us are Leos with August birthdays, so we love a good lion. My search is now complete, but I found quite a few along the way. Do you prefer a lion or a unicorn?
