Beach reads are here! Since we officially launch summer this weekend, I thought it would be the perfect time to post about books we can all enjoy by the beach, pool or patio. Some of these titles I have been anticipating for a while, like The Golden Hour by Beatriz Williams and The Chelsea Girls by Fiona Davis. These two authors are favorites of mine and they do not disappoint. Another one I have been excited to crack into is The Last Time I Saw You the latest thriller by the writing duo of Lynne and Valerie Constantine (pen name Liv Constantine). Their previous collaboration The Last Mrs. Parrish was a huge hit, so I pre-ordered back in March. There is a lot of buzz about The Summer Country by Lauren Willig: “A brilliant, multigenerational saga in the tradition of The Thorn Birds —a sweeping Victorian epic of lost love, lies, jealousy, and rebellion set in colonial Barbados.” Yes, please! Of course, I had to include Elin Hilderbrand’s latest, Summer of ’69 and Helen Hoang’s follow up to The Kissing Quotient, called The Bride Test. Which book will you throw in your beach bag? How do I find these titles to recommend to you? I do read a lot of books, but I also refer to trusted book reviews— on Goodreads, NY Times, Kirkus and Youtube.
