Each spring I look forward to rounding up my stack of books for the summer. Usually, I have a few titles that I save to read on the beach and this year I have some goodies. What makes a good beach read? In my opinion, it needs to be light enough to take frequent breaks, but interesting enough to allow a little escapism. It needs to be both engrossing and satisfying and I think of these all deliver. You will see some seasoned summer authors here as well as a few newcomers. So, pull up a beach chair, and get out the sun hat– it’s time to start relaxing with one of these page-turners.
Beach Read ~ House on Fripp Island ~ Pretty Things ~ The Flatshare ~ The Guest List
Home Before Dark ~ 28 Summers ~ Girls of Summer ~ All Adults Here ~ Big Summer

How do I find these titles to recommend to you? I read a lot, but I also refer to trusted book reviews on Goodreads, the NY Times, and Kirkus. I belong to a book club with opinionated readers, and I live next door to a local bookstore insider who lends me advance copies! Basically, I do the legwork so you don’t have to. For more titles, browse previous Book Blast posts or visit my Amazon store. Keep reading!
