Today marks a big milestone for me– WHIT & WHIMSY turns one! It has been a year of learning and endless problem-solving: hours spent on YouTube researching how to fix a glitch or watching a skincare review video. I recruited my teenage daughter to teach me to use Photoshop (not an easy task) and my husband was asked to take my photos (and even harder task). It took me a while to settle into WordPress, choose a logo, design a layout and figure out affiliate links (see below). On top of the writing and editing came the tackling of Instagram. Nothing makes you feel older than trying to understand the beast that is Insta (still attempting to master it). What I am trying to say is that I had no idea how much time and effort goes into running a blog; it is so much more than telling your friends about the next best bronzer. Speaking of bronzers–I thought it would be appropriate to update my very first post one year later. On July 30, 2018, I pressed publish for the first time with Best Bronzers. Since then I have tried a few more items and brands that help get the look of hours in the sun without the damage of actual suntanning. Of course, I still have my all-time favorite body bronzer, the Jergen’s Instant Sun Mousse and the Chantecaille Radiance Gel for the face, but I have added some more that were recommended to me. Have fun shopping for that faux glow!
